Abstract Digitized Photos

These Abstract Images Combine Multiple Digital Layers

These abstract images are the work of Andrey Bogush, a 2014 Foam Talent photographer. Bogush captured a series of images before repurposing them into weirdly digital and beautifully abstract paintings using vector shapes and patterns you'd expect to see in 3D geography maps rather than works of art. Each image consists of a liberal number of digital layers that come together in a final image that is difficult to define.

These abstract images were created with the help of Photoshop, which allows one to construct different kinds of time and space arrangements which, when collapsed together, allow for the creation of distinct as well as not-so-distinct borders between reality and the virtual world. The resulting images project a tense beauty that is the result of the marriage between an original photograph and intense digital manipulation.
