$10,000 Teddy Bears

Gund Releases a Unique and Expensive Snuffles Stuffed Animal

I grew up with Gund. I had a pink Gund teddy bear named Jelly Bean and she went everywhere with me. At this year's American International Toy Fair in New York, Gund unveiled a $10,000 teddy bear. Why, you may be asking, would a plush toy carry such a price tag?

Gund's $10,000 teddy bear is of the Snuffles variety (Gund's oldest style of bear and the very same model as my Jelly Bean) and boasts black Tahitian pearls for eyes, real white alpaca fur and a 10-carat diamond and white gold necklace. Needless to say this is a one-of-a-kind toy, but probably not suitable for children.
