Recycled Wire Jewelry

These Eco-Friendly Pendants are Partially Made from Discarded TVs

In an attempt to create something beautiful out of something that has been discarded and forgotten about, Celina Ortiz and her husband create this wire jewelry from spare TV parts.

The 'Tree of Life' necklaces are sold on Etsy and feature beautiful stones adorned with wire that have been shaped to look like trees. The wire that makes up the trees on these pendants are copper and aluminum wires that the couple finds inside of old TVs. With a variety of stones including opal, abalone, turquoise and agate, these pendants represent the natural world while also slightly reducing the harm done unto it.

This wire jewelry represents a growing shift towards the future of fashion, one that encourages conscious consumerism without sacrificing style or beauty.
