It was definitely news when Sumer Erek decided to build a house out of 60,000 scrapped newspapers. The newspaper art installation is the artist's way of emphasizing the ecological impact of the newspaper waste we accumulate everyday.
Erek built the house by piling rolled up newspapers. With the help of a black wooden frame, he was able to sculpt a true-to-life house structure.
The newspaper house was recently unveiled without its shell in Gillett Square, East London.
