Eco Teabag Coffee

The K-POD Coffee System Reduces Waste for Sustainable Caffeine Consumption

Consumers love the convenience of their coffee capsules, but this teabag coffee concept is a much improved alternative for a number of reasons. Modeled on the tagless circular tea bag, the eco-friendly K-POD is made up of far less material for different benefits.

Designer Akun of Kun Design in Taiwan throws out the idea of the single-serving coffee pod in favor of a permeable wrapper that's made of non-woven fabric. The product is lighter and easier to infuse, enabling the grinds within to be quickly extracted of their color, flavor and aroma through a special instant coffee machine or even a kettle.

The K-POD teabag coffees would be sold in small square packages for protection and sanitation, making them easy to take on the go. The best part is that the used bags are biodegradable and capable of growing greenery when planted.
