This Sustainable Laptop Supports the National Geographic's Mission

The 'Aspire Vero National Geographic Edition' is a sustainable laptop that takes all the existing versions of the already sustainability-minded Acer Aspire Vero and adds in the added promise of being able to contribute to the work and mission of the National Geographic Society.

As with the original Aspire Vero, this particular offering is a sustainable laptop that uses 30 percent post-consumer recycled plastic that is durable and aesthetically pleasing. The laptop is also designed to be easy to upgrade in order to prevent the generation of electronic waste and help consumers get more out of their machine for a longer period of time.

This special-edition laptop also features design cues that hint at sustainability. These include the instantly recognizable National Geographic yellow border that is printed near the keyboard, the printing of the words 'For Planet Earth' on the spacebar, and diagonal external lines that are a nod to the impact of climate change on sea levels.

Even the packaging of this laptop is designed with the planet in mind, with the core box designed to be a multipurpose container that can be repurposed for other uses. Its inner partition is also designed to be foldable into a laptop stand.
