Fuel-Efficient Yachts

The Silver Fast from Silver Yachts is Eco-Friendly

Silver Fast is a design from the company Silver Yachts, which offers an eco-friendly option that does not compromise on style. The luxury liner did a test run going all the way from Australia to Europe in a limited amount of time, and only needed to refuel once.

Not only is this a good time for crossing this distance, but it's amazing that only one refuel was needed. Part of the reason why less fuel is used here is due to the lightweight materials used throughout. Since everything is not as heavy as regular yachts, less fuel is needed to propel the boat forward, putting less of a strain on both the vessel and the environment. Hopefully other yacht companies will follow suit with this eco-conscious design. Photo Credits: designboom, silveryachts
