Double-Capped Canteens

The Sigg Wide Mouth Water Bottle Permits Both Small Sips and Big Gulps

When it comes to water bottle design, the Sigg Wide Mouth serves up the best of both worlds. Different circumstances call for bigger or smaller openings in one's beverage container, yet the vast majority of canteens do not afford this adaptability.

Andrew Warner's solution was to design his metal water bottle with a broad neck and a proportionally large screw-on lid. This makes it easy to insert ice cubes, to fill the vessel up and to clean the Sigg Wide Mouth. But what's really unique about this concept is that the top has a second cap. A hole that's about the size of a coin can be opened instead, which is better for taking a spill-free sip.
