SeaFjord Energy, an innovative Swedish company that is dedicated to furthering the electric revolution in shipping, has developed a truly revolutionary ship that is designed to be able to efficiently and safely deliver electricity to ships at port.
Designed as part of a collaboration with close affiliate Fjordtank Rederi AB, a shipping company that's renowned for its prowess in top-of-the-line tankers, the so-called e-bunker vessel is fitted with a massive battery pack, and is capable of delivering green energy in the form of electrons. This revolutionary ship can be charged in about an hour, and is then able to deliver up to 50 megawatts of clean energy.
In addition to being used for energy trading and delivery, this e-bunker vessel could also serve as a point of redundancy or back-up source of renewable energy.
