Resourceful Water Spouts

Reusable Water Bottle Lids Give Second Lives to Used Drink Containers

The designer of this reusable water bottle lid is able to demonstrate that one small product can make a big impact on the sustainable consumption of disposable items. As part of his Upcycling Project, Ryan Jongwoo Choi came up with a pair of alternate lids for standard drink containers and jars, encouraging you to reuse the vessels -- even for unexpected purposes.

The green leaf-like forms of the special tops have their own caps inside, enabling them to be closed off or opened up without removing the entire spout attachment. With these in place, even the most unloved of used water bottles can assume fresh flair. Glass and plastic ones alike can be appropriated as water jugs for cafe tables or vases to decorate your home. When it's finally time to recycle your old containers, just screw these reusable water bottle lids onto newer ones.
