Cardboard Recliners

The RE-PLY Chair Uses Strong Fiberboard to Support Your Weight

Dan Goldestein's RE-PLY Chair turns cardboard into an unbelievably comfortable reclining seat.

The concept design behind the corrugated fiberboard chair is simple. It's a molded four ply cardboard seat with a metal frame that can bend back if you want it to. The San Francisco designer wanted his upcycled recliner to be a customizing seat, something that could move with the one inhabiting it. Also, to create a better environmental footprint, Goldestein used as little materials as possible. The main ingredient of course is the strong recycled cardboard and the a triangular metal post that serves as the chair's frame. There is even the option of having soft black fur attached onto your seat.

The RE-PLY Chair by Dan Goldestein is a Kickstarter project.
