Recycled cell phones find a functional use with the 'Pacam' camera being given to impoverished countries. Made from old recycled cell phone parts, paper and two AAA batteries the 'Pacam' inspires children in third world countries to follow their dreams.
Hundreds of millions of cell phones are thrown away each year with no other purpose than to sit in landfills and pollute the earth. The 'Pacam' looks to diminish the amount of cell phones that are bound to sit in landfills with no purpose but pollute. With the help of UNICEF, the recycled cell phones are collected and taken apart to create simple point and shoot style cameras.
The hope of the cameras is to encourage children to develop and run after their dreams and see that they can do big things if they just put their mind to it.
