Recycled Park Proposals

This Netherlands-Based Proposal Aims to Offer a Solution to Plastic Waste

Recycled Park is a proposal introduced by WHIM Architecture, which has the goal of retrieving plastic waste "from the river of Nieuwe Maas before it reaches the North Sea."

It is indisputable that plastic waste in the world's oceans is having hazardous affects on the environment and marine life, and this project aims to do its part in reducing the severity of this issue, if only a little bit. The idea is to retrieve this plastic waste, clean the material, and then recycle it into "the building blocks of the floating park."

The (currently conceptual) Recycled Park rests on the river, is made up of hexagonal shapes, and features ample greenery, flowers, and walkways for people to enjoy.
