Carowinds amusement park in Charlotte, North Carolina has a new record-breaking roller coaster with its new ride, the Fury 325. It is currently the world's tallest and fastest giga roller coaster at 325 feet, passing the previous record holder, Japan's Steel Dragon 2000, by 7 feet. For three minutes and 25 seconds, the Fury 325 will transport up to 32 thrill seekers, 6,602 feet across steel tracks. Riders who dare to brave this coaster will endure barrel turns, sharp dives, a double-helix maneuver and even a high-speed S-curve, all while traveling speeds as high as 95 mph. Carowinds says that the roller coaster was designed using the flight dynamics of hornets as inspiration.
If you are up for the challenge, the Fury 325 opens on March 27th to the park's season pass holders and then officially on March 28th for the general public.
