Sheet Layered Furniture

Pia Wustenberg's Processed Paper Project is Artistically Crafty

Paper-made products are far from new nowadays, yet the Processed Paper collection is quite unique. Created using a lathe, the result is layered masterpieces that are more art than functional furniture. Yet functional they are.

Created by Pia Wüstenberg, the Processed Paper project utilized two simple materials (paper and PVA glue) in order to create these stunning pieces of furniture. These rolled pieces of paper were given a one-of-a-kind look as the lathe revealed different layers of color to create a different pattern on each piece. With an almost art deco appeal, the Processed Paper collection is definitely made for the artistic individual.

According to Wustenberg, "Processed Paper began as a research into using materials that surrounded me. My background as a cabinet maker led me to shaping the material with traditional wood working techniques."
