Vancouver's Zee Kesler has created a sustainable idea for portable classrooms. Although tiny-home concepts are nothing new, Kesler wants to introduce different uses of a small house and its possible use as a classroom.
The portable classroom has large windows to let in light, a wheelchair accessible door and a small L-shaped kitchen. The entire project took 27,000 dollars to make, and was done so by using mainly recycled material as well as some fundraising.
A small loft above the main living area is unused will eventually be used as storage space for coats and shoes. Kelser hopes that tiny homes can be used as public spaces for education and community purposes. Kelser also hopes to use the space as an open invitation for guest instructors to teach a class.
