Activist Ad Rejections

NBC Refuses to Air PETA Thanksgiving Ad

The latest PETA Thanksgiving ad ‘Grace’ can now be included in the long list of controversial ads banned by NBC. In rejecting the advertisement the TV network stated that, "this commercial does not meet NBC Universal standards,"—whatever that means.

The soundtrack of the PETA Thanksgiving ad begs for the animation of South Park characters, but there’s nothing violent or overtly sexual in the family-oriented television commercial. It contains a shocking, but mostly factual message. (It’s not a foregone conclusion that people actually enjoy stomping turkey heads.)
