Frankenstein Couch Cushions

Patch from Heyteam is Made from Upcycled Leather Scraps

I never really thought of what happened to old leather until I saw Patch from HeyTeam. Patch upcycles old leather items and turns them into new pillows.

The pillows themselves contain many different strips of leather, giving them a Frankenstein-esque look and feel. Still, looks are not all that important when you consider how much leather is being kept out of landfills.

Patch from HeyTeam is a great project because it gives clothing manufacturers an incentive to keep their leftover scraps of clothing and make them into something more, as opposed to just dumping them in the trash. With the world taking an increasingly eco-friendly stance, it should not be hard to find people willing to cover their couches with upcycled leather pillows.
