Life-Sized Paper Dogs

A Group of 100 Artists Took Part in a Two Year Project Creating These Works

A group of 100 artists submitted life-sized paper dog art works. This project took place over the course of a two-year period. The paper dog project or 'Gerald Project' included artists, illustrators and designers who were all invited to take a paper model of a dog and make it however they wanted. Over one hundred creatives took part in this project, customizing the blank canvases with paint, ink, pens, textiles and more.

After two long years, 120 original versions were returned and they have been exhibited at New York Design Week earlier this month. A hardcover book with photos displaying all of the creative paper dogs with each artists’ comments on the project was also presented at the event. There are replicas available for purchase online.
