Plywood-Preserving Furniture

Kyburz's No Waste Collection Boasts Eco-Friendly Pieces

Taking the eco-conscious route in industrial design will never get old, considering how important it is to society and the earth that we be more responsible with our creations; therefore, it is encouraging to see projects like the No Waste furniture collection.

Designed by Swiss brothers Rainer and Tobias Kyburz, the No Waste furniture collection is comprised of a chair and table. The NW 057 Chair is made from a single sheet of plywood, which allows for maximum use of the piece of wood with little waste.

The NW 208 Table was the first piece in the No Waste collection. It, like the chair, also uses only one piece of wood for its pattern. I like that customers can choose their preference of wood and finish when ordering the No Waste pieces.
