Ethical Marble-Accent Furniture

Fict Studio's Collection Makes a Statement About Industrial Waste

South Korea-based design practice Fict Studio launches a minimalist range of marble-accent furniture to make a comment on the issue of industrial marble waste. As the material is quite popular in the realms of homeware design, the statement is a worthwhile one to make. The capsule boasts a stool, a chair, a side table, and a tray. Each one of the silhouettes boasts a subtle marble accent which is combined with resin to form the end product. The former material is sourced ethically as manufacturer Total Marble delivered "nearly 2,000 kilograms of broken slabs discarded daily as industrial waste."

The slick marble-accent furniture provides not only a platform to bring awareness to this issue but also displays the absolutely striking and beautiful properties of the material itself when in use.
