Marketed by Nature’s Furnace Inc., the unit is a combustion air furnace that exchanges heat from within its mass. It produces heat ranging from 175,000 BTU’s to 500,000 BTU’s per hour that can be used for heating, cooling, or power generation. Further, the company claims that the unit eliminates bacteria and parasites and releases nearly smokeless/odorless exhaust emissions.
Currently, the biofurnace is used mainly by cutting-edge farms, ranches, dairies and other animal facilities. The furnace helps to keep parasite-ridden biowaste out of landfills and compost heaps. But it also saves farmers money by eliminating manure-dumping costs and providing free energy and clean potash.
