Compartmentalized In-Flight Meals

The 'Flying Wings' Tray is Better Suited for Air Travel Eating

Given that so many airlines serve their in-flight meals with much the same setup, it's interesting to see a contemporary reinterpretation here. Lan Szu-Ting's design makes a few modifications, increasing the stability, the tidiness and the eco-friendliness of the typical tray. It also includes nutritional information, because––unfortunately––calories do count in the sky.

You will probably first notice that the surface of the tray has an upper tier, complete with cutouts for nesting various containers. The holes perfectly match the sizes and shapes of the dishes, accommodating every piece snugly and keeping your supper securely in place, even during turbulence. That same punctured cover provides an enclosure for napkins, wrappers and other garbage, so that the passenger has a place to tuck all of that neatly away. Finally, the 'Flying Wings' in-flight meal tray concept comes with a compact set of cutlery that airplane diners can take away with them and reuse.
