The Horseless Rocking Horse by Studio Ve Provides a New Take on Tradition

The designers Studio Ve have created a new twist on a hay ride with their Horseless Rocking Horse.

The hay ride, which was a project for the Design Milk Deconstruction column, was a concept that Studio Ve had come up with through observation at a horse farm. The designing duo observed that lost in translation with a real horse to rocking horse was the appeal to the senses. Hence, the Horseless Rocking Horse's design was made to fit a hay bail. The hay bail was the perfect idea as it incorporated the senses that Studio Ve wanted to incorporate.

The duo has said "The selection in a bale of hay to resemble the horse was only natural as it cites both the smells and the colors that are typically featured in a ranch, and also acts as the horse seat."

The Studio Ve Horseless Rocking Horse may be a little messy when riding, but provides a unique experience that a regular rocking horse cannot provide.
