As climate change is a very real thing, it is important to adopt lifestyles and come up with tech innovations that will actually assist us and help animals survive as well. Postgraduate students of design from the Imperial College London and the Royal College of Art have partnered to create intuitive and high-tech bio-logging tags for humpback whales and collared peccaries. Through the tags, the researchers hope to allow the animals to detect human threats and therefore, be prepared should they need to fight-or-flight. In addition, the devices also monitor the immediate environment as a whole. In a sense, this project attempts to assist the mammals in "reclaiming and changing their own habits" in response to the world.
