Heinz Launches its Own Red Tattoo Ink Inspired by its Pantone Color

Heinz has confirmed it is introducing its own red tattoo ink produced from safe materials. Dubbed "Heinz Tattoo Ink," the release responds to the brand's hordes of loyal consumers who have gotten or are interested in getting a Heinz tattoo.

Red tattoo ink is the most troublesome color to create as most of the ingredients used are subject to restrictions and outright prohibitions in many nations throughout the world, including the European Union. Heinz is developing their first red tattoo ink based on the brand's official Pantone hue through a collaboration with Electric Ink, an ink maker that only makes ink using non-harmful components.

"We see the creation of Heinz Tattoo Ink as not only meeting this mandate, but also as a way to communicate a brand truth about the ketchup ingredients beyond advertising, while tackling a cultural behavior that is already part of Heinz fans’ lives," said SOKO Founder and CCO, Felipe Simi.
