The HeatSeeker Sixshooter mister was designed to help firefighters cool off after they have finished putting out a four-alarm blaze.
Developed by Michael Robinson, who is a firefighter himself, the device was made specifically to prevent workers from overheating from the exertion of lugging around extremely heavy gear while trekking through burning buildings.
Attaching to the fire truck's hose port, the device clamps onto the end of the water source and turns the H20 into a refreshing mist that the firefighters can walk through. The chrome-plated brass accessory fits snugly onto the end of the hose and requires no additional power source to operate and is compact enough to carry around easily.
A smaller, commercial version has also been developed for homeowners to put on the end of their garden hoses.
