Designers Feijun Chen & Bin Zhao are behind the Pioneer Headlight shoes concept. This is footwear that coverts kinetic walking energy into electrical energy. The material is waterproof but breathes and the sole is solid rubber to enable the shoes to absorb shock and also protects the foot from short circuits or other "electrical happenings" as Yanko Design calls it. The shoes come with a battery that charges it up with every step and powers the head light for up to 12 hours straight.
Kinetic energy is nice and PC. But, I'm sorry, these are some ugly-ass kicks.
