Power-Producing Classrooms

Green Apple Classrooms are Designed to Save California Schools Money

Green Apple Classrooms are solar-powered classrooms designed specifically for the great state of California. The classrooms have been designed to help save the cash-strapped state of California money in an area where it needs it most: the school system.

The designers behind the Green Apple Classrooms estimate that their portable classrooms would be able to produce more power than they would need to operate. The folks over at Green Apple estimate that if even a quarter of school buildings were replaced with Green Apple Classrooms, the state would save $23.3 million dollars a year and prevent the release of 100,000 tons of carbon dioxide. As it stands, these classrooms are still just a concept, but they have been approved by the California Division of State Architect meaning that Green Apple is free to sell them to any school in the state.
