Boomers in Print Campaigns

Jerry Hall Sizzles in Ads for Chanel Accessories

It’s not unusual to see women in their 40s modeling. Now it’s time for models in their 50s to take charge.

Jerry Hall stars in this Chanel Accessories campaign and she looks beautiful. We know Photoshop helps, but certainly a model with a nice complexion and bone structure does make a difference, even if she’s "old."

Co-starring in the campaign is male model-of-the-moment Baptiste Giabiconi, and the shoot is based on an older woman and a younger man’s affair. Very suitable.

Karl Lagerfeld, as usual, is very intelligent, as he quotes Oscar Wilde: "I like men who have a future, and women who have a past."

I can’t wait for his biography "Self Portrait," set to be released in October.
