This Folding E-Scooter is Built From a Single Sheet Of Steel

Sweden-based startup Stilride made a big splash when it first lifted the lid off its 'SUS1' folding e-scooter back in 2020, but the company has now followed that up with a new and improved, upgraded and production-ready version of the two-wheeler under the 'Stilride 1' brand name.

The 'Stilride 1' is a folding e-scooter that is unique in that its structure originates from a single sheet of stainless steel. This is in stark contrast to the overwhelming majority of scooters which typically tend to revolve around a metal frame and separate body panels. The unique structure of the 'Stilride 1' is claimed to make this particular folding e-scooter significantly more lightweight than comparable conventional scooters, while production and material costs are also lower.

As far as performance is concerned, the 'Stilride 1' can achieve a top speed of 100 km/h and offers a range of around 120 km on a full charge of its battery.
