Sonoco Launched a Line of Packaging for its EnviroSense Initiative

With the current social dialogue surrounding climate change, many brands are seeking to use eco-friendly packaging to appeal to consumers, and Sonoco -- one of the biggest providers of diversified consumer packaging -- has set itself apart with the launch of its new EnviroSense Initiative.

The EnviroSense Initiative will include a range of products that focus on sustainability including the "rigid plastic packaging containing post-consumer recycled content, mono-material flexible pouches that are recyclable and innovative packaging made from agricultural fibers." All of the packaging solutions in Sonoco's EniroSense products focus on reducing environmental impact, shipping optimization, fiber sourcing, compostability, and optimized package-to-product ration.

The brand is committed to achieving the U.N.'s Sustainable Development Goal 12.3 and is specifically targeting the it's request to cut food waste down by half by 2030.
