This Alki Eco Chair is Made out of a 100% Bioplastic Material

This eco chair is made out of 100% bioplastic and is the first of its kind to be made available commercially. The biodegradable furniture was designed by Jean Louis Iratzoki for the Alki line Kuskoa Bi. The collection launched last Friday at the Maison & Objet trade show in Paris, which focuses on the "art of living."

Compared to regular plastic, which is an environmentally harmful pollutant that also works to deplete the world's already small fossil resource, this bioplastic is made out of 100% plant-based renewable materials. Focused on sustainable development, Alki uses a bioplastic that has similar characteristics to normal plastics while being better for the environment.

Inspired by Robin Day, their eco chair has a minimalist and elegant design that is eco-conscious through and through.
