At the Tides Restaurant in New York, LTL Architects made a truly striking and totally fascinating ceiling out of bamboo skewers. The bamboo skewers are embedded in the ceiling to form a topographical effect, much like sea grass. The backlit ceiling is also perfect for absorbing noise.
