ChargeNet Created Charging Stations for Taco Bell

As a response to the ongoing surge in electric vehicle (EV) demand, San Diego-based startup ChargeNet is pioneering accessible charging solutions. First launching its public stations at a California Taco Bell last year, the company aims to make EV charging more convenient for the masses.

By strategically placing fast-charging stations at fast-food chains like Taco Bell, ChargeNet introduces a concept where drivers can power up their EVs while buying a meal. These solar-powered stations promise a 100-mile charge in just 20 minutes for approximately $20.

ChargeNet CEO Tosh Dutt aims to alleviate "range anxiety" and make EV adoption more accessible. "There's a disproportionate amount of quick-serve restaurants in low-income communities and rural areas...Being able to host at these locations, we're able to democratize public EV charging."
