Celebration Packaging Unveils PFAS-Free Enviroware Compostable Packaging

Celebration Packaging's EnviroWare series, encompassing white bagasse takeaway clamshells, dinnerware, and chip trays, has achieved significant certifications. These environmentally conscious products have received the TÜV Home Compostable certification, confirming their biodegradability, and are SGS-certified as PFAS-free.

PFAS, although safe for food packaging and cookware, pose environmental risks as they do not naturally degrade and can contaminate groundwater over time. The new PFAS-free white bagasse fiber packaging maintains its visual and functional qualities, allowing it to be used for microwave reheating without any performance reduction.

This certification assures operators and consumers that they are making a sustainable choice, promoting environmental safety and food service convenience.

"Since the start of 2023, all our white bagasse clamshells, dinnerware and chip trays have been made with a different food-safe, grease and water-resistant chemical that is free from PFAS, and this has allowed us to obtain TÜV Home Compostable certification for these products," said Celebration Packaging’s managing director, Nick Burton.
