UN Agencies recently unveiled the 'Rej’et El Sineh' song for back to school season, which translates to 'Learning is Back.' The new song comes as part of the UN Agencies Regional Joint Action Plan and encourages students to safely return to learning – whether that be at home or in the classroom.
The Rej’et El Sineh song comes as the COVID-19 pandemic has interrupted education for nearly 110 million children and young people in the Middle East and North Africa. The song encourages children to continue learning despite any obstacles (including lacking essential resources such as the internet, electricity, and electronic devices).
The UN bodies "hope that this song, together with other tools the partners made available in the past months, will demonstrate that education and schooling in the time of COVID-19 is possible."
