# Undead Unicorn Artwork These Demonic Zombie Sculptures Could Not be Less Ethereal By Alyson Wyers | Published 2013-08-04 | Pop Culture Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zombie-sculptures References: [obviouswinner](http://www.obviouswinner.com/obvwin/2013/7/31/brain-trotters-zombie-demon-undead-unicorn-horse-sculptures.html) & [quequinoxart](http://quequinoxart.com) These gruesome zombie sculptures of unicorns combine two popular creatures in a dark and demonic way. Designed by Janine Haq of Quequinox Art, these artistic pieces are made out of polymer clay over a skeleton of wire and foil. The sculptures have fur and inset eyes to make them look more realistic. Each piece Haq creates is unique and none are made using a mold. In addition to unicorns, she also did horse zombie sculptures, which are less magical but equally as terrifying. These figurines are available for sale on [Etsy](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tarotandreading) and eBay. While the current pop culture obsession with the undead rages on, it will be interesting to see if these pieces of art will stand the test of time. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.9/10 - Popularity: 14% | Activity: 5% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Zombie Animal Sculptures:** Creating sculptures of animals in undead form could be a new trend in the art world, offering a new level of creativity and uniqueness. - **Handmade Unique Art:** The rise of handmade unique art pieces, created without the use of a mold, could disrupt the traditional methods of mass production and offer a more personalized touch to the art industry. - **Dark Fantasy Art:** The dark fantasy art trend, combining popular mythical creatures with dark elements, could become more prevalent with the success of these undead unicorn sculptures. ### Where This Applies - **Artisanal Sculpture:** The artisanal sculpture industry could see innovative opportunities by capitalizing on the unique and personalized style of handmade clay sculptures such as these undead unicorns. - **Online Marketplace:** Online marketplaces such as Etsy and eBay could see a surge in demand for handmade, unique art pieces due to the rising trend of personalized, non-mass produced items. - **Horror and Dark Fantasy Products:** The success of these zombie unicorn sculptures could lead to a rise in demand for horror and dark fantasy products, creating new opportunities for industries such as Halloween decorations and fantasy gaming merchandise. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Undead Easter Treats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sugar-plum-chocolate-zombie-bunny.md) - [Fashionable Zombie Dolls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zombaes-critter-chaos.md) - [Almost-Extinct Animal Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fauna-series.md) - [Digital Archetype Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/christian-rex-van-minnen-1.md) - [Otherworldly Wooden Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-sculptures-1.md) - [Sculpturally Formed Jewelry Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cyber-zombie.md) - [Primal-Themed Bronze Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-return.md) - [Surreal Love-Themed Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/joakim-ojanen.md) - [Charming Creepy Collectibles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/deddy-bears.md)
