If more [small spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slim-fit) modeled their design after the lofts in the [Zoku Hotel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hospitality-experiences), people wouldn't feel so sore about living in such shoeboxes. The brand new accommodations are set to open in Amsterdam later this year and feature a slew of hidden features that make the lofts appear much bigger than they really are.

At first, the Zoku Hotel looks like a simple bachelor apartment -- it is certainly the size of one. Yet as soon as a person rounds a corner, they are presented with a set of stairs that slides in and out of the wall. These stairs lead to an [elevated bedroom](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/omarama-attic), allowing for the majority of the space to be a public on. The Zoku Hotel room is a home-office hybrid that is perfect for longer stays.
