The Ziris Chair by Redbit has been cleverly designed as a regular seat with the option to adapt into a lounger. Looking at the four-legged perch, you wouldn't immediately suspect that it's been instilled with the ability to transform, for the [rows of wooden slats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/same-same) make the object look rather sturdy, but also very slim. If you grasp the upper edge of the backrest and pull it forward, a series of every other stave emerges as if such a form is a three dimensional copy of the original seat. When the edge is set down on the floor in front, both sides of the pivot create a continuous flat surface which renders the Ziris Chair by Redbit an [effective recliner](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/davidhugh-aiora). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.7/10 - Popularity: 85% | Activity: 48% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Convertible Furniture:** Designing furniture with the ability to adapt into multiple forms to fit various needs and spaces. - **Multi-functional Design:** Creating products with the ability to serve multiple purposes or transform into different configurations. - **Space-saving Furniture:** Creating furniture that offers the functionality of multiple pieces but takes up less space. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture:** Innovating designs to create furniture that offers multiple functions and space-saving options for consumers. - **Interior Design:** Incorporating multi-functional and space-saving furniture into designs to optimize small spaces. - **Home Decor:** Offering consumers furniture solutions that cater to limited space needs while still serving multiple functions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Shapeshifting Office-Ready Armchairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/egoitaliano-smirk.md) - [Comforting Adaptable Sofa Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/baby-bird-reincarnation-3way-sofa-bed.md) - [Flatpack Ultra-Modular Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nebula-chair.md) - [Vibrant Chaise Lounge Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/versarest.md) - [Sleek Portable Air Recliners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zlounger.md) - [Ergonomic Inflated Reclined Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/johannes-faurebrac.md) - [Versatile Hybrid Lounge Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luna-hybridlounger.md) - [Ultra-Simple Multifunctional Furniture Pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chairpf.md) - [Ergonomic Inflatable Lounge Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/z-lounger.md)
