The Canadian pair transcend these creations into something much more than just a [piece of pottery](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/il-buco-vita-x-commune-design). The Zipper Platter is certainly less functional than a [normal plate](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studio-tigress) (with liquids most likely seeping through the open zipper), but it is more eye-catching for sure. The Zipper Platter comes in two glaze choices: a Silky White on Porcelain Glaze, or Silky Charcoal Black on Porcelain with Platinum Accents. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.1/10 - Popularity: 22% | Activity: 4% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Artistic Tableware:** Create kitchenware that serves as both functional objects and artistic masterpieces. - **Novelty Design:** Incorporate unconventional elements into kitchenware to captivate consumers and enhance their dining experiences. - **Ceramic Innovation:** Explore innovative techniques and materials to push the boundaries of ceramic design in kitchenware. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Decor:** Integrate fashion-inspired kitchenware into the home decor industry to offer unique and stylish options for consumers. - **Hospitality:** Partner with hotels and restaurants to supply fashionable and eye-catching kitchenware that elevates their dining experiences. - **Artisanal Crafts:** Collaborate with artisans and skilled craftspeople to create fashion-inspired kitchenware that merges art and functionality. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Minimal Ceramic Tableware Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zuma-tableware.md) - [Sculptural Ceramic Home Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ceramic-home-collection.md) - [Artful Meticulous Tableware Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tableware-collections.md) - [Luxurious Patterned Ceramic Plates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/patterned-ceramic-plates.md) - [Sculptural Ceramic Tableware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/office-of-tangible-spaces.md) - [Zero Gravity-Dining Tableware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zero-microgravity.md) - [Reusable Folding Storage Plates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/calzone-tableware.md) - [Multifunctional Kitchen Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/latticeboard-multipurpose-kitchen-board.md) - [Artsy Surrealist Tableware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gohar-world.md)
