# Zippered Page Savers The Zipmark Bookmark Seals in a Good Story Until You're Ready to Read Next By Amelia Roblin | Published 2012-07-14 | Business Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zipmark-bookmark References: [craziestgadgets](http://craziestgadgets.com/2012/07/14/zipmark-bookmarks/) & [peleg-design](http://www.peleg-design.com/products.php?id=7) There will be no loosing your page with the Zipmark Bookmark, it makes the place where you left off look blatantly obvious beneath a plastic faux-fastener strip. Even though you can effectively save your spot in a novel with a Post-It, a gum wrapper or a paper bill, none of these resourceful items has a shred of the whimsical character of this totally cute Peleg Design doodad. It consists of a thin, likely silicone, strip that sandwiches between the leaves of your hardcover. Perpendicular to this, it features a long and slender segment that's been molded to mimic the interlocking teeth and [the tab](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-tab) of a zipper. The visual effect of using a Zipmark Bookmark makes it seem like your paperback has an unexpected pocket. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.3/10 - Popularity: 83% | Activity: 99% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial - Top markets: Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Business](https://www.trendhunter.com/business) > [Books](https://www.trendhunter.com/books) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Zipmark Bookmark:** A bookmark with a faux-fastener strip that securely marks your place in a book. - **Whimsical Book Accessories:** Novelty book accessories that add a touch of fun and character to reading. - **Innovative Page Savers:** Creative solutions for keeping track of progress in books. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Publishing:** Opportunity to create book-themed accessories that enhance the reading experience. - **Gifts & Novelties:** Market for unique and quirky products that appeal to book lovers. - **Product Design:** Space for innovative designs of functional and aesthetically pleasing bookmarks. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Personality-Forward Bookmark Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/humdrum-paper.md) - [Cheekily Creative Bookmarks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/illustrated-bookmarks.md) - [Reading Book Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/penguin-x-moebe.md) - [Versatile Book Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/penguin-x-moebe-book-stand.md) - [Highlighter-Inspired Reading Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/digital-highlighter.md) - [Novel-Inspired Wallets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/book-wallets.md) - [Minimally Engineered Bookends](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/firm-book-end.md) - [Compact Functional Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookmarker-table.md) - [Effortless Bookmarking Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookmarkerme.md)
