# Inexpensive Disease Testing Machines
This Zika Detecting Machine Works With Just a Drop of Blood

Taiwanese company 'BluSense Diagnostics' have developed a Zika detecting machine that would cost $20 per patient.

The 'BluBox' takes a [blood sample](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ultrahuman-and-insidetracker) and within nine minutes a diagnosis is ready. The machine only needs a drop of blood for it's sample which is mixed with magnetic nanoparticles before it is scanned by the machine's internal laser. This is a viable solution to an [existing medical issue](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diagnostic-platforms) as Zika detection tests currently cost patients hundreds of dollars to preform. At $20 a patient, the BluBlox is a viable global detection method.

The BluBox Zika detection machine also includes an [automated data reporting system](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/automated-pcr-testing-system) that sends positive test results to a database so every case of the virus can be monitored.
