# Swizzle Stick Lighting For Your Walls Zig and Zag By thischick | Published 2007-06-07 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zig-and-zag-high-tech-swizzle-stick-lighting-for-your-walls References: [italiandesign360](http://www.italiandesign360.com/PRODUCTS/Product_profile.aspx?idp=3355&name=Zig__Zag) The Zig and Zag lights designed by [Jean Francois Crochet](http://www.italiandesign360.com/PRODUCTS/Product_profile.aspx?idp=3355&name=Zig__Zag) for Terzani give a whole new meaning to the word minimalist. These lights take up a fraction of the room a wall lamp or track lights would on your walls. They are made with a satiny-nickel exterior and fissures have been created in the stem to let the light "escape" from the halogen bulb housed inside. They might be impractical, but they sure are high-tech chic. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.3/10 - Popularity: 26% | Activity: 6% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Minimalist Lighting:** Opportunity for creating sleek and space-saving lighting solutions for modern interiors. - **Satiny-nickel Exterior:** Innovative use of materials to add a touch of sophistication and elegance to lighting fixtures. - **High-tech Chic:** Integration of technology and design to create visually appealing and technologically advanced lighting options. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Interior Design:** Exploring new ways to incorporate minimalist lighting solutions in residential and commercial spaces. - **Lighting Design:** Developing cutting-edge lighting fixtures with satiny-nickel exteriors for a modern and luxurious aesthetic. - **Technology:** Combining technology and design expertise to create high-tech and visually appealing lighting products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Geometric-Shaped Wall Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/impulse-wall-light.md) - [Stunningly Minimalist Lighting Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-lighting-design.md) - [Tunnel-Like Wall Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/endless-wall-lamp.md) - [Modern Affordable Wall Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/poplight-wall-light.md) - [Wall-Mounted Ambient Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ikea-varmblixt-collection.md) - [Instrument-Inspired Wall Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/louis-collection-by-sara-schoenberger.md) - [Chic Saucer-Shaped Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-in-tight-light-fixture.md) - [Artistic Ribbon-Like Ceiling Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-fellas-ceiling-light.md) - [Elegant Geometric Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/geometric-light-fixture.md)
