Warsaw-based retail startup ZeroQs has successfully raised €457,000 in funding from Freya Capital to further develop and expand its smart shopping cart technology. The company's innovative solution aims to reduce shopping queues and enhance consumer shopping experiences by allowing customers to avoid traditional checkout lines. Equipped with a weighing system, barcode reader, and touchscreen, ZeroQs' smart shopping carts enable customers to place items in a cart, scan them with the built-in scanner, and leave the store, with the bill being automatically charged to their account. This technology not only improves the customer experience but also enhances security and streamlines inventory management by verifying products with advanced weighing and visual systems.

The funding will be used to continue the development of smart shopping cart technology, strengthen ZeroQs' position in the domestic market, and prepare for international expansion. The smart shopping carts are already being used by retail chains such as Społem and Detal Centrum, and the company is in active talks with leading retailers from Poland and Europe to further expand its presence in the market. ZeroQs' CEO, Jarosław Kaczmarczyk, stated that the company plans full-scale implementations in retail chains both in Poland and abroad, aiming to transform customer shopping experiences and provide valuable consumer behavior data to retail networks. This data can be used to personalize the shopping process and enhance the overall shopping experience.
