It boasts a colorful tonal palette further supported by an ergonomic structure. It is the latest range of seating that adds to the ongoing Zeph family of seating -- the Zeph Chair and Zeph [Stool](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ishi-stool). The series is denied by the one-piece colorful seat with a flexible back. Burkhard Schmitz, Carola Zwick, and Roland Zwick, designers at the firm looked to the same researched ergonomics to create the Zeph Side Chair. Studio 7.5 notes, “We believe that it’s not natural for humans to sit still, hence our focus on creating dynamic seating solutions. What fascinates us is when users hardly notice that something is in motion. This can only happen if the motion of the chair closely mirrors the body’s movements, contributing seamlessly to the user’s well-being. The design challenge lies in making the technology part look effortless and elegant; the fact that the Zeph shell moves surprises people.” Image Credit: Studio 7.5, Herman Miller ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 54% | Activity: 10% | Freshness: 23% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Dynamic Seating Solutions:** Incorporating motion into seating to seamlessly mirror body movements and enhance user well-being. - **Ergonomic Structure Innovation:** Integrating researched ergonomics into design to create comfortable and supportive seating solutions. - **Colorful Tonal Palette:** Utilizing a vibrant and diverse color range to enhance the aesthetic appeal of seating designs. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Exploring opportunities to revolutionize traditional seating designs with dynamic and ergonomic features. - **Interior Design:** Embracing colorful tonal palettes in furniture to create visually striking and unique spaces. - **Ergonomic Technology:** Leveraging researched ergonomics in product development to improve user comfort and well-being in seating solutions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Kinetic Shell Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zeph.md) - [Mid-Century Ergonomic Office Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zeph-chair-1.md) - [Ergonomic Hard-Sided Office Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zeph-chair.md) - [Ergonomic Seating Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oko-chair.md) - [Danish Mid-Century Modern Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/danish-midcentury-modern.md) - [Ergonomic Relaxation Lounge Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zephyr-lounger.md) - [Ultra-Minimal Stool Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sedeo-chair.md) - [Versatile Dynamic Armchair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dynamic-armchair.md) - [Circular Modernist Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zerogravity-chair.md)
