# Peaceful Minimalist Living Spaces The Zen Bedroom from Studio Oink is Serenely Fashionable By | Published 2013-05-27 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zen-bedroom References: [swiss-miss](http://www.swiss-miss.com/2013/05/zen-bedroom.html) & [studiooink.de](http://www.studiooink.de/apartment.html) The Zen Bedroom from [Studio Oink](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clutterfree-living) has created the perfect bedroom design for people wanting a peaceful space in which to collect their thoughts. Since bedrooms are meant to be relaxing personal spaces used to unwind after a long hard day, a peaceful uncluttered bedroom is extremely important. Studio Oink's Zen Bedroom is almost completely white: white storage spaces, white walls, white curtains and white sheets. However the whiteness doesn't evoke a hospital atmosphere. It actually calms and soothes. The Zen Bedroom's decor is also [minimalist using under-bed storage](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-kyobate) and one sleek armoire to fill out the room. Overall, the Zen Bedroom gives a homey feeling. With its [minimalist design and monochromatic color palette](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grigio-verde), this bedroom is the perfect place for relaxing and just having some time to yourself. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.1/10 - Popularity: 44% | Activity: 42% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Minimalist Bedroom Design:** Opportunities for disruptive innovation in creating minimalist and serene bedroom designs that enhance rest and relaxation. - **Monochromatic Color Schemes:** Opportunities for disruptive innovation in creating decor and designs using a limited color palette that create a calming atmosphere. - **Functional Furniture Design:** Opportunities for disruptive innovation in creating furniture designs that maximize storage and minimize clutter to enhance relaxation in living spaces. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Interior Design:** Opportunities for disruptive innovation in the field of interior design in creating peaceful, minimalistic and functional living spaces. - **Furniture Design:** Opportunities for disruptive innovation in the furniture industry, in designing multi-functional and minimalist furniture for creating serene living spaces. - **Home Decor:** Opportunities for disruptive innovation in creating decor for peaceful living spaces using monochromatic color schemes to enhance relaxation. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Storage-Centric Living Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clutterfree-living.md) - [Minimal Timber Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zenhouse.md) - [Nature-Inspired Minimal Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zen-house-1.md) - [Tranquil Wabi-Sabi Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lagom.md) - [Lofty Minimalist Living Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-living-space1.md) - [Mindful Study Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mindful-study-space.md) - [Tranquil Elevated Tiny Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zen-house.md) - [Japanese-Inspired Elevated Pied-à-Terres](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/piedterre.md) - [Miniature Tranquil Garden Playsets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/metazen.md)
