# Aluminum Coffee Packages Zeitgeist Coffee Factory Uses Durable Aluminum Packaging with a Valve By Colin Smith | Published 2023-02-24 | Business Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zeitgeist-coffee-factory References: [thedieline](https://thedieline.com/blog/2023/2/15/zeitgeist-coffee-factory-flavor-museum-packaging) & [zeitgeistcoffee](https://www.zeitgeistcoffee.com/) Zeitgeist Coffee Factory, a specialty coffee roastery and cafe located in Seattle, unveiled its latest packaging style for its [CPG](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dutch-bros-athome-line) coffee lineup. The beans are sold in durable [aluminum packages](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/recyclable-aluminum-bottles) that not only convey the high quality of Zeitgeist Coffee, but also ensure the beans are protected and kept fresh for long periods of time. The aluminum tins feature a small opening with a one-way valve. This valve allows the coffee beans to de-gas without taking oxygen into the can, ensuring that the beans stay fresh while maintaining their rich taste, as a full aerated design would quicken the staling process of the beans. One added benefit of the aluminum packaging is its [recyclability](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/denada-tequila), as many major cities can recycle aluminum cans as part of their regular recycling programs, meaning this packaging solution is not only durable and functional, but sustainable as well.
