Straying outside of its typically assigned duties of assembling cars, Yumi got to [spin a DJ set](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rane-system-one) during the auto company's release party for the 2018 Ford Fiesta. The 2018 Fiesta release party took place in a warehouse-turned-club in Germany, a country known for its underground dance parties. But while the beats are usually electronic, it isn't often that the DJ is. To be sure, Yumi didn't handle the music entire on its own -- the robot was accompanied by a human DJ, and the two took turns scratching records. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 13% | Activity: 49% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Industrial Robots in Entertainment:** There is a disruptive innovation opportunity in developing industrial robots for use in entertainment events such as festivals, concerts, and parties. - **Collaborative Robots:** The use of collaborative robots in the entertainment industry can increase efficiency in managing events as humans and robots work together to create live performances. - **Artificial Intelligence in Djing:** Incorporating artificial intelligence in DJing technology to produce better sound and create more engaging experiences for audiences could be a major innovation opportunity. ### Who This Affects Most - **Automotive Industry:** A disruptive opportunity exists in incorporating industrial robots in the automotive industry for versatile use beyond vehicle assembly. - **Entertainment Industry:** Integrating industrial robots into the entertainment industry could provide a new way of performing live events and create engaging experiences for audiences. - **Technology Industry:** Developing technology such as artificial intelligence that can be used in the entertainment industry to create unique experiences can open up many innovation opportunities. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Music-Streaming Personal Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gitamini-limited-edition.md) - [Engaging Musical Humanoid Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toy-robot-concept.md) - [Humanoid Robot Chefs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/robbyant-r1.md) - [Beatboxing Robot Dogs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dj-beat-boxer.md) - [AI-Backed Music Commentary](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spotify-4.md) - [Humanoid Robot Technologies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/advanced-humanoid.md) - [Interactive Customizable AI Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jizai.md) - [Human-Like Robot CEOs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/robot-ceo.md) - [Futuristic Humanoid Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cyberone.md)
