When Davide Anzalone and Tommasso Bistacchi designed the [Ypsilon](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ypsilon-bench) Tables, they discovered a new and clever way to integrate the necessary support structures. The legs that elevate the horizontal planes have been given a second function, increasing the storage capacity of each of the pieces.

[Laser-cut metal material](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/intra-side-table) was used to make the entirety of the furnishings. Two separate but sandwiched panels stand upright as legs, only to branch out in different directions to take Y shapes. The divergent upper edges of these props join up with correspondingly notched sections of the tabletops, creating [deep slots on the sides](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/taarof-table) of the coffee tables, side tables and entertainment units. The Ypsilon Tables thus provide extra space in which to stash books, magazines, newspapers and more.
